Yeast Free Pizza Dough

Like yeast pizza dough recipes, there must be an ingredient in the dough that helps it to rise. Instead of yeast, baking powder is used in this recipe. Making waiting hours for the dough to rise no longer required! Simply mix the baking powder with the remaining ingredients, let chill, then roll.

To get started, gather the equipment and ingredients then follow the step-by-step instructions. A free printable recipe card is available below. We also share all our favorite gluten-free pizza topping ideas!

Equipment

  • medium-sized mixing bowl
  • stir spoon
  • measuring cups and spoons
  • parchement paper
  • Rolling Pin
  • pizza stone or baking tray
  • pastry brush

Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten free flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder ✅
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus extra
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • marinara, cheese, pizza toppings ✅ optional

How To Make Homemade Pizza

Preheat the oven to 450°F.

Blend the ingredients together

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, blend the flour, baking powder, salt, olive oil, and water together. Add an additional tablespoon of water one at a time if the dough is too thick. Blend well and form into a ball. Brush a little olive oil on top and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes.

Roll out the crust

Place the cold dough onto a piece of parchment paper. Place another piece on top and roll out into a circle. Makes 1 thick crust pizza or 2 thin crusts. Remove the top piece of parchment paper and flip the crust over onto the pizza stone or baking pan.

Parbake the crust

Turn down the oven to 375°F. Bake a thick crust for 12 minutes or a thin crust for 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with sauce, cheese, and toppings. Bake for an additional 8 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Serve hot.

Pro Tip: For a more crisp crust, heat the pizza stone in the oven then carefully add the pizza dough.
